چکیده

The dynamic contact line plays a key role in various fields of interfacial physics, including bioprinting, nano-scale printing, three-dimensional biomaterials, tissue engineering, smart materials, flexible printed electronics, biomedicine, and healthcare. However, there is still lack thorough physical understanding its real behavior numerous complex problems nature technology. exhibits conformation real-life fluid dynamics problems. Therefore, this review presents two main long-standing models that describe the physics line: hydrodynamics theory molecular kinetics theory. Next, current advanced technologies discussed. Finally, discusses future research directions to enhance power line.

Kinetic theory of flux-line hydrodynamics: Liquid phase with disorder.

We study the Langevin dynamics of flux lines of high–Tc superconductors in the presence of random quenched pinning. The hydrodynamic theory for the densities is derived by starting with the microscopic model for the flux-line liquid. The dynamic functional is expressed as an expansion in the dynamic order parameter and the corresponding response field. We treat the model within the Gaussian app...

Building a Hydrodynamics Code with Kinetic Theory

We report on the development of a test-particle based kinetic Monte Carlo code for large systems and its application to simulate matter in the continuum regime. Our code combines advantages of the Direct Simulation Monte Carlo and the Point-of-Closest-Approach methods to solve the collision integral of the Boltzmann equation. With that, we achieve a high spatial accuracy in simulations while ma...

Molecular scale contact line hydrodynamics of immiscible flows.

From extensive molecular dynamics simulations on immiscible two-phase flows, we find the relative slipping between the fluids and the solid wall everywhere to follow the generalized Navier boundary condition, in which the amount of slipping is proportional to the sum of tangential viscous stress and the uncompensated Young stress. The latter arises from the deviation of the fluid-fluid interfac...

Comparison of Kinetic Theory and Hydrodynamics for Poiseuille Flow

Abstract. Comparison of particle (DSMC) simulation with the numerical solution of the Navier-Stokes (NS) equations for pressure-driven plane Poiseuille flow is presented and contrasted with that of the acceleration-driven Poiseuille flow. Although for the acceleration-driven case DSMC measurements are qualitatively different from the NS solution at relatively low Knudsen number, the two are in ...

Contact line hydrodynamics with SPH

Surface tension effects can dominate multi-phase flows when the length scales of the problem are small. The resulting Capillary forces at a phase interface between two immiscible fluids are proportional to the local curvature of the flow and try to minimize the interfacial area. A more complex situation occurs when three phases are in contact or when two phases are in contact with a wall. The s...
